COTTAGE & FACILITIES
The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay in a beautiful natural environment. The modern, cosy home is family-friendly and sleeps up to four people. It includes a private wood-fired hot tub. It is a very private yet safe country location with all the modern conveniences and is just 15km from the town of Twizel. The cottage is a great base to explore Aoraki/Mt Cook and Tekapo, which are a scenic 50-minute drive. Te Manahuna Retreat is 2.5hrs from Queenstown, and 4 hours from Christchurch.
BEDROOMS
The cottage has one bedroom with a queen bed, and one lounge that can be set up as a bedroom with a double sofa bed. All linens are provided.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is fully-equipped with oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, all utensils, pots, pans, and dinnerware. The cupboard is stocked with tea, coffee, sugar, herbal teas, salt & pepper, cooking oil, vinegars, hot sauce, herbs, and spices.
LIVING/DINING
The living/dining area has beautiful mountain views, with a dining table, record player with hand-picked albums, JBL bluetooth speaker, Smart TV, couch, and logburner.
BATHROOM
The bathroom features a handmade larch wood vanity, natural Ecostore body products, and rainshower. All linens are provided, includng bathrobes.
OUTDOOR DECK
The outdoor deck has comfortable seating, BBQ, and breathtaking mountain views.
HOT TUB
Relax in a gorgeous wood-fired hot tub filled with pure spring water and heated with sustainably-harvested wood. The New Zealand made tub is for the exclusive use of our cottage guests, and is perfectly placed for total privacy and soaking under the sparkling stars of the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve.
RETRO GARAGE
Check out the garage anytime! It's 70m from the cottage and is a shared space with the Menard family, their friends, and other guests. It has a video/gaming lounge with VHS & DVD, plus old-school gaming consoles (NES & N64). There's musical instruments, record player, 2,000 CDs, dartboard, board games, curios, and books.
